Bubbly, energetic, and approachable. People make it seem like being "friendly" is a bad habit. Truth is, I love to be one of the reasons people are smiling and laughing. One of my favorite phrases is, "you never know what someone is going through." So why not give them a reason to smile. I'm in my head ALLLL day. I know we all say that, and the majority of it, is the truth. A lot of us pretend to have the "fuck it" mind set. Now I’m not saying, you can’t train yourself to have that mindset, but let’s be real. We actually do care.
Now don't get me wrong, I have a few bad habits. Don't we all? But, being friendly isn't one of them. I believe if someone is calling you friendly in a negative way, it's an insecurity. They call you "approachable". Honestly, it doesn't matter who approaches me, yes I'm going to be friendly. If I'm not interested, I'm not interested... it's called boundaries.
Cheerful, lively, high-spirited, only certain people can understand. There's nothing wrong with enjoying being the reason, someone is happy. Damn. I wish someone enjoyed putting a smile on my face... (ha silly joke).
But I'm curious how others feel about being called "friendly?" I'm also curious to know if others believe if being that, "bubbly, energetic, and may some say approachable" necessarily a poor trait to have.
